Planet Baobab is nestled amongst 17 ancient baobab trees in the Makgadikgadi Pans Region of Botswana. It is built next to a natural spring that retains water throughout the year which makes the birdlife surprisingly good and during the dry season the pan is frequented by Elephant and Kudu. Planet Baobab is located close to the village of Gweta, also known as ' The Place of the Bullfrogs' 40 minutes from the famous Pans.
At Planet Baobab guests can experience the vast remoteness of the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Kalahari Desert. Activities on offer include baobab bushwalks, interaction with the local Botswana people, quad bike expeditions and game drives in the Makgadikgadi Pans and fabulous meerkat encounters.
Accommodation consists of 18 thatched huts with ensuite bathrooms. In the main area, guests can relax around an enormous bar which is the heart of the camp. Outside is the swimming pool where guests can cool off after a hot day exploring the Makgadikgadi Pans.
